| Portrait Suggestions CLOTHING CHOICES Classic/Traditional, sporty, trendy and fun, even a prom dress or sports clothing. Bring a variety to show the world who YOU are! Try to match outfits with the colors in the location areas or with specific props you might bring. Can’t decide? Bring extra outfits so we can help choose. Don’t forget SHOES and any JEWELRY for every outfit! Simple black or white shirts are always a safe choice to bring along. SOLID COLORS photograph better than patterns such as plaids or flowers. Avoid logos. Best color choices are light or dark shades of red/blue/tan/greens – No bold primary colors or bright neon colors. Clothing that matches your eye color looks great in photographs. HAIRSTYLES Make sure your hair is exactly the way you wish it to appear in the finished photographs. Try to avoid a style that covers your eyes. It’s best not to try a new hairstyle just for the portraits. If you plan to cut your hair, do so at least one week before your session. Don’t forget a hair band if you plan to pull it back for a casual outfit. MAKEUP Guys and Girls: It’s always recommended for portraits. Facial shine is not easy to retouch, bring some translucent powder to reduce any shine that may develop during your session. Girls: wear your make-up just as you normally do, but bring it along to adjust as needed. Some girls will need less; others will need to apply theirs more heavily to bring out their features nicely in the photos. BLEMISHES NO PROBLEM!! Your portraits will be retouched. GUYS A fresh shave looks the best. Make sure any facial hair is neatly trimmed. (Shave daily to eliminate razor burns). WHAT TO BRING A parent or a friend, it's nice to have someone with you. A mirror. Any props that show who you are, even your pet if you wish. Cutout magazine photos of poses that you would like to try.
